Member Duties : Advisors will commit to a term of service from August 2024 to May 2025 (18 hrs./week). Primary Responsibilities, but not limited to: • Interact 2-3 times a week with high school students and families in the assigned high school to provide relevant information about post-secondary education and the college choice, application, and financial aid processes. • Organize group events that encourage students and their families to consider, plan for, and apply to colleges and universities. • Establish productive collegial relationships with principals, school counselors, and teachers in assigned high school, as well as community-based college access professionals. • Assist in the assessment and long-term sustainability of the program. • Build and maintain expertise in admission and financial aid advising.
