Rural Action Rural Renewal: South Side Family Farms
 
 
 
Rural Action connects small organizations to VISTA positions and candidates like you, becasue we can all do big things together. In this VISTA position, you will help South Side Family farms create systems that help them communicate, engage volunteers, record their impact, and get more food out into the home of community members. You will also learn about grantwriting and will help the staff at South Side Family Farms determine what grants they should apply to and what other earned income strategies may help them do even more in Columbus. Benefits include: *Full time, 35-40 hours a week, maintain host site operational hours *10 sick and 10 personal days, on top of host site days off *Living allowance (stipend): $24,962 before taxes *Segal Education award for federal student loans or future education expenses: $7,395 *OR optional cash award in lieu of education award: $1,800. *Healthcare options *Mileage reimbursement for service-related travel up to $950 *$250 training and $200 supplies budget *Relocation and Settling In Allowance (if relocating more than 50 miles) *One year after service of non-competitive status when applying for Federal jobs
