The National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse is recruiting two AmeriCorps VISTA members to support their overdose prevention initiatives in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The fist VISTA will enhance NCAPDA’s community outreach and social media presence, increase distribution of Naloxone and Fentynl test strips, and support grant management projects through data tracking and reporting. The second VISTA will implement a volunteer management and tracking process, manage translation projects to increase access to services for ESL populations, and expand outreach to youth and families. The selected members will develop skills in logistics, organization, coordination, and interpersonal communication. Selected candidates will be a part a statewide member learning community through PHI Center for Health Leadership and Impact, the largest AmeriCorps VISTA sponsor in the Western Region. This community includes support from VISTA Leads and professional development opportunities including workshops, networking events, conferences and other trainings. Members will be part of a network of over 200 CHLI AmeriCorps alums. Learn more about our program on our website, https://healthleadership.org/pathways/americorps
