The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, energetic, self-disciplined, and tenacious veteran ambassador with a clear understanding of the needs of veterans and their family members within the community on a cultural, social, and economic level. The VISTA will have opportunities to develop skills in operations management, leadership experience, public speaking skills, project management success, personal accountability, community partnership visionary skills, process improvement, and interpersonal skills to support the core services the chamber provides to all veterans, their family members, and community partners. The VISTA will work hand-in-hand with the Housing Committee to support veterans, military in transition, and their family’s needs and develop partnerships across community housing resources & services. The position includes supporting veterans in securing their home loan benefits, building and developing workflows, processes, checklists, tools, and resources for veteran and family member home repairs, services, and coordination efforts with Idaho’s first-ever Tiny Homes Community Project. Service will include building marketing plans, developing communications strategies, building and providing oversight of project timelines, supporting the fund development plan for the capital campaign, and working closely with community partners.
