'25-'26 Ukrainian Community Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
Are you ready to make a positive impact on the lives of newly-resettled Ukrainian families? We are so excited to announce a VISTA opportunity with the Utah Refugee VISTA Project in Salt Lake City, Utah! By accepting this role, you would be joining a team of dedicated AmeriCorps members. We offer customized professional development opportunities to all members within our project. All members in our program receive an $957,46.- bi-weekly stipend, 11 paid holidays, and 80 hours each of personal and medical leave. Additional benefits include relocation and settling-in allowance, childcare assistance, and healthcare reimbursement. Upon completion of service, our members are awarded their choice of an Education Award ($7,395) or cash stipend ($1,800), and a one-year federal noncompetitive eligibility status. Member Duties : As the Ukrainian Community Coordinator VISTA, you will engage newly-resettled Ukrainians by developing, implementing, and assessing programs that meet the community's unique needs and interests. You will coordinate with local partners to build a support system for newcomers and empower prospective Ukrainian community leaders. Your efforts will directly contribute to increased educational engagement, career placement, and long-term community integration. We are seeking individuals with the following characteristics: 1. Ability to connect with diverse community members and stakeholders to strengthen our local service network and expand reach to Ukrainian communities. 2. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop effective strategies that promote education, employment, community engagement, and self-sufficiency. 3. Strong communication skills, to raise awareness of available services and mobilize support from community members and partner organizations.
