CCCOG Operations & Development VISTA
 
 
 
The proposed VISTA project aligns directly with the programming priorities of education and economic development in the Coastal Bend region. By focusing on building capacity to provide educational resources, skills training, and employment opportunities to disadvantaged individuals, the project aims to uplift the community and address poverty through sustainable means. By addressing the root causes of poverty and equipping individuals with the tools they need to succeed, E2E can continue to contribute to long-term economic growth and social well-being in the Coastal Bend region. The overarching goal of the VISTA project is to increase educational attainment, which will assist people in obtaining higher-paying jobs as their path out of poverty. VISTA members will address the needs of people living in rural Coastal Bend through a targeted approach that will empower individuals and communities in overcoming poverty.

Member Duties : Operational Efficiency Enhancement - Activities: • Work with staff to assess current operational procedures • Identify areas for improvement • Implement strategies to optimize workflows • Develop standardized procedures • Enhance data management systems Fundraising and Resource Development - Assist in the creation of a comprehensive resource development plan • Research potential donors and assist in grant writing • Plan fundraising events • Engage in building relationships with donors • Maintain a donor database to support long-term development goals Program and Project Support - Activities: • Assist in the coordination and management of ongoing and new programs. Plan logistics, monitor progress, and gather feedback for improvement. Contribute to the development of project proposals and reports, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
