Volunteer Program Development Coordinator
 
 
 
Join Every Woman’s Place (EWP) as a VISTA Volunteer Program Development Coordinator and help build sustainable systems that strengthen support for survivors of domestic violence. This unique role focuses on designing and implementing a volunteer and intern management program that will ensure EWP can better meet the needs of individuals and families in Muskegon County and beyond. In this position, you will evaluate the current volunteer program, identify opportunities for growth, and develop systems for recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers and interns. By creating tools like orientation materials, training guides, and communication plans, you’ll ensure a seamless and meaningful experience for volunteers while aligning their work with the mission of EWP. You’ll play a key role in building long-term sustainability by developing a comprehensive training framework, including a “Crisis Intervention and Empathy Training” curriculum to prepare volunteers for meaningful engagement. You’ll also create tracking systems for monitoring volunteer activity and develop tools to evaluate program success, ensuring continuous improvement. Outreach is another critical component of this position. You’ll build relationships with community organizations, schools, and groups to increase volunteer recruitment and raise awareness about EWP’s programs and opportunities. By fostering new partnerships and strengthening existing ones, you’ll help expand the reach and impact of EWP’s volunteer-driven initiatives. Member Duties : As the VISTA Volunteer Program Development Coordinator at Every Woman’s Place, you’ll design sustainable systems to recruit, train, and retain volunteers who support survivors of domestic violence. You’ll develop tools like training manuals, orientation programs, and tracking systems to ensure long-term success and meaningful volunteer engagement. In addition, you’ll strengthen outreach by building partnerships with community organizations to expand recruitment efforts and raise awareness of EWP’s programs. Your work will leave behind a sustainable volunteer program that empowers the organization and the community to break the cycle of poverty and domestic violence.
