Program Support for United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas

The mission of United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Arkansas is to advance the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of people with disabilities. UCP of Arkansas is a collection of essential programs that help individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities while also supporting their families and their communities. From adult and children’s services to support services and our own enterprises, we serve people across the state. In this way, UCP is a unified team with the mission of serving children and adults with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1957 by parents of children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities, we banded together to help Arkansans live “Life Without Limits.” Our team of dedicated professionals offers daycare and parent relief to a comprehensive network of habilitation/rehabilitation. UCP provides early intervention and preschool services, adult habilitation, Medicaid waiver, customized employment services, community living arrangement, and therapeutic services. UCP is located in West Little Rock, on Rodney Parham Road. The member serving with the Customized Employment program will be responsible for producing a set of Standard Operating Procedures. This set will consist of four sections — program descriptions, processes, and assessments; rules, regulations, and administrative functions; recruitment and person-centered planning; and onboarding, program phases, follow-through, and reporting. This position requires someone skilled in organization; who is detail-oriented; and who is interested in completing large projects. You should apply if you are interested in learning about nonprofits; enjoy technical writing; and want to assist in improving the lives of Arkansans with disabilities. If you have questions about the organization or position, contact UCP's Director of Community Development, Katy Sursa via email or phone at katy@ucpcark.org or 501-515-3420.
