Dalton State College Foundation, Inc

Dalton State College, located in Northwest Georgia, transforms lives through education and community engagement. Focused on serving diverse populations, including first-generation and low-income students, Dalton State fosters economic stability, addresses food insecurity, and raises awareness about substance abuse prevention. Through the AmeriCorps VISTA program, we seek motivated individuals to build sustainable solutions to these challenges. As a VISTA member, you’ll collaborate with campus and community partners to design and implement impactful programs. Activities include developing financial literacy curriculums, creating awareness campaigns, and establishing peer-led support groups. Your efforts will empower students and community members to thrive. Located in Dalton, the “Carpet Capital of the World,” the area offers a vibrant community and outdoor recreation in the Appalachian foothills. Dalton State’s inclusive campus culture supports innovative service work. We seek driven candidates with organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Experience in education, public health, or community outreach is a plus. VISTA members gain professional experience, program development training, networking, and personal growth. The one-year project begins Feb. 2025 and ends on Jan. 2026, offering a living allowance, health benefits, and an education award or cash stipend. Ready to make an impact and grow as a leader? Join us in creating meaningful change. For more information, visit www.daltonstate.edu or contact Heather Williams at hwilliams@daltonstate.edu.
