NSA Development Coordinator VISTA (FY25)
 
 
 
Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation strives to alleviate the effects of poverty and enhance the quality of life for all community members of the Truckee Meadows by ensuring the health of our parks which is integrally connected to the health of the community. The Nature Study Area Development Coordinator VISTA will write grants to support the proposed Nature Study Area and fundraise for Parks Foundation programs. The proposed Nature Study Area will aim to alleviate poverty by offering free, easily accessible health and education based opportunities to low-income community members that may not otherwise have access to outdoor educational and recreational activities.

Member Duties : The Nature Study Area Development Coordinator VISTA will be an essential member of the Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation team. This person will help to implement a sustainable fundraising plan and raise operating funds to support the goal of providing free and accessible educational resources for underserved students and community members at the Nature Study Area. This VISTA will research, write, and report on grants that support the Nature Study Area. Additionally, they will assist in coordinating community and volunteer events focused on the wetland’s rehabilitation and improving public education and environmental health.
