Hearts and Hands is a volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults in Erie and Eastern Niagara Counties by providing free escorted transportation, companionship, and in-home support. Founded to meet the needs of isolated older adults, we aim to improve quality of life, foster independence, and reduce social isolation. Through volunteer engagement and community partnerships, our mission is to empower older adults to remain active and connected in their communities.

Member Duties : The VISTA will strengthen Hearts and Hands' outreach and volunteer programs to support older adults. The role focuses on developing recruitment strategies, enhancing training materials, and building sustainable community partnerships. Key activities include creating and implementing volunteer onboarding processes, identifying funding opportunities, and establishing data tracking systems to measure impact. The ultimate goal is to expand volunteer engagement and resource development, ensuring ongoing support for care receivers in our community.
