LANSING MI - Adult Education Partnership Coordinator/ VISTA
 
 
 
The ICHD AmeriCorps VISTA Program focuses on building the capacity of Ingham County organizations in the areas of education, economic opportunity, and access to care. The program emphasizes the importance of professional development and personal growth, while creating an exceptional AmeriCorps VISTA experience for our members during the service term. We provide monthly professional development opportunities to VISTA members and our site supervisors provide mentoring to their members. Members become a part of the Greater Lansing community, learn skills relevant to their future careers, and build networks to last a lifetime!

Member Duties : Positions begin JANUARY 2025! The VISTA Member will work to boost long-term enrollment and completion rates in adult education by addressing key barriers, enhancing educational opportunities, and increasing involvement in children's education. Project will include building out new and enhanced community partnerships, recruiting volunteer tutors, writing a project proposal for an incarcerated adults read-aloud project, and establishing worksite classrooms.
