HandsOn VISTA - Welcome to America Project - Resources

Join The Welcome to America Project (WTAP) and help improve WTAP’s resource management by implementing standard processes to increase efficiency, impact, and overall capacity of our warehouse! In 2024, Arizona has resettled the most refugees it has ever received. These newcomers are receiving less support from the government and rely on the Welcome to America Project to fill in the gaps with resources to successfully establish them in their new home. The successful applicant will create standard operating procedures to effectively track and manage warehouse inventory. This will help newly arrived refugees receive essential resources for integration and aid in sustainability efforts in the community. You will do this by reevaluating methods of facilitation of weekly volunteers, facilitating/ accessing donations and in-kind donations, develop tracking systems for donor's donation receipts, and build relationships with community partners. Overall, efforts will be made to improve operations of our warehouse and increase connections with community partners, to help newly arrived refugees receive essential resources for integration and aid in sustainability efforts in the community. The future member should have some background with Google Suite, working in communities, bilingual in English and any of the following languages: Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Swahili, Rohingya, Spanish, Somali, Kinyarwanda and/or a knowledge of refugee communities but not required.
