Kupu Environmental Stewardship

The Conservation Leadership Development Program (CLDP) creates rigorous entry-level opportunities for young professionals that want to commit to a career in conservation. Participants are placed at an environmental organization for approximately 6-11 months, where they assist with projects that equip them with skills and leadership opportunities to move ahead in their career. In addition to gaining valuable insight in the conservation field, participants also receive a living allowance and an AmeriCorps Education Award upon successful completion. Members may also have the opportunity to participate in Kupu's Earned Admission initiative. This includes heavily subsidized virtual learning and college credits through a partnership with Arizona State University. This program is best suited for young adults aged 17 and above. Applicants must be comfortable in outdoor environments, and be able to perform physically demanding duties.
