As a subgrantee of the only federal agency for National Service and Volunteerism, our program is committed to uniting individuals and organizations to tackle our island's toughest challenges, strengthening organizations by providing people power to improve communities while impacting the lives of those we serve and those who serve the community, in hopes of leading to the betterment of communities across our island. The AmeriCorps University of Guam Volunteer Center is an AmeriCorps State and National program under the the Serve Guam Commission. In line with AmeriCorps' motto to "GET THINGS DONE!", and its parent organization's mission "To Enlighten, To Discover, To Serve", our program is committed to making an impact in the community through direct services in not only mentoring and homework assistance in Education, but also outreach and awareness in Environmental Stewardship, Disaster Services, and Capacity Building.
