The Volunteer Outreach Representative plays a crucial role in supporting and expanding the Polk County Conservation volunteer program. Working closely with the fulltime Volunteer Coordinators, this position focuses on outreach, recruitment, coordination, and promotion of volunteer opportunities to enhance organizational projects and community engagement. Half Time Volunteer Outreach Representative will serve with Polk County Conservation as part of the Polk County Conservation AmeriCorps Program. AmeriCorps members develop skills that build a strong, leadership-packed résumé, earn a living stipend $10,800.00 and receive a Segal Education Award upon completion $3,697.50 to pay for higher education or qualified student loans. These positions are quarter time members who will serve a minimum of 900 hours over 13 weeks, working approximately 34 hours per week.

Member Duties : •Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinators to develop and implement strategies for recruiting volunteers from diverse backgrounds. •Promote volunteer opportunities through various channels including social media, community events, and outreach campaigns. •Assist in scheduling and coordinating volunteer activities, ensuring volunteers are assigned to appropriate projects based on skills and interests. •Communicate effectively with volunteer regarding project details, expectations, and logistical information. •Work alongside Volunteer coordinators to support the execution of organizational projects, providing additional manpower and assistance as needed. •Help organize and lead volunteer groups during project activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. •Assist in training volunteers on specific tasks and techniques relevant to project assignments.
