United Way of the Brazos Valley mobilizes communities so all can thrive. For over 70 years, we have supported and facilitated programs designed to reduce poverty and provide opportunities for low income individuals and families. We are located in Bryan, Texas and our service area includes seven counties in the Brazos Valley. The VISTA Program Specialist will expand programs and create processes for sustainable community-wide solutions. A successful candidate will have the following attributes and technical proficiency. Attributes: Passion for the mission and values of the nonprofit sector. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Highly adaptable and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in program delivery. Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to build and maintain partnerships with diverse stakeholders. Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Knowledge of nonprofit governance, grant management, and compliance. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and program management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Salesforce).

Member Duties : The VISTA Program Specialist is responsible for expanding programs. This role involves working to ensure the successful delivery of impactful services. The member will provide tools to lift patients and clients out of poverty through the expansion of Ride2Health, Community Resilience and Disaster Response Programs allowing more Brazos Valley residents to access critical services. The member will develop strategies to collaborate with existing nonprofit programs to expand our services for improved access to healthcare transportation and recovery from both financial and natural disasters. The member will focus on expanding services in Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson and Washington counties in Texas.
