The Project Reset/AmeriCorps program is committed to enhancing the well being of youth, individuals and families within the community. Participate in programs/functions, including various activities, transportation (to break down barriers to seeking help, treatment and services), survey needs of each specific school, develop relationships with treatment providers, community coalitions, academic institutions and community holders to increase health equity and overall community impact. The main focus will be to provide all individuals with increased academic engagement and socio-emotional skills leading to enhanced outcomes not only in school achievement but in overall life development, thus decreasing the need for crisis services. Overall we promote positive wellness through person centered care and community based interventions.

Member Duties : Peer Mentor/ Academic Guide Responsibilites include fostering a safe and nurturing environment and serving as a role model for overall wellness, academics, mental health, substance, life obstacles with a strong focus on sparking purpose and passion. Provide one to one and group mentorship to individuals academically and enhancing life skills. Report outcome measures and complete pre/post surveys. Transportation is part of the position requirements for those in need. As Academic Guide you will support students in their schooling by individually tutoring them while helping them identify their own needs. By providing small group instructional support you will help them in growing and advancing as people and as students. Improve K-12 academic engagement to enhance connectedness and realize educational goals.
