Commodity Supplemental Food Program Specialist- VISTA
 
 
 
The VISTA member will fight poverty in low-income seniors by enhancing access to supplemental nutritious food through assisting with the Commodity Supplemental Food Service Program. This will enable them to overcome poverty by assisting seniors with better managing their limited income to allocate resources to meet other essential needs outside of food. The VISTA will help build capacity by helping design and implement programs to guide Feeding Louisiana in the CSFP efforts that will service over 40,000 seniors throughout the state.

Member Duties : VISTA member will review and analyze policies. They will conduct a thorough review and analysis of current CSFP policies and guidelines to ensure compliance. They will develop data collections methods and ensure they are comprehensive, effective, and aligned with the goal of optimizing the CSFP distribution program.
