Members serving as a K-12 Language Arts or Math Tutor should have a deep understanding of the subject(s) and will use their insight and creativity to adapt to each student's needs and learning style, engage and help students feel comfortable during sessions, provide academic support to student’s current classwork, and be able to supplement with additional resources. Members serving as Student and Community Engagement Coordinators will be a strategic thought partner who will develop and execute programs that coordinate and align resources for students and their families to achieve the mission of their host site, with the goal of positively impacting educational and employment outcomes. Art/Drama Instructors will provide engaging and varied art instruction for elementary students or adults with developmental disabilities. Members servings as a Job Training Coach will empower students by offering hands-on job coaching and workforce skills training in diverse industries.

Member Duties : NewMexiCorps members will provide K-12 reading and math tutoring, community engagement to connect students and families with support services, K-5 elementary art instruction, job training/coaching and art/drama instruction for adults with developmental disabilities, and participate in professional development and training opportunities. Host sites are located in Albuquerque, NM at the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy, South Valley Prep Charter School, Mark Armijo Academy, and the North Fourth Art Center, and in Los Lunas, NM at the School of Dreams Academy. Part-time positions available in Albuquerque and Los Lunas, NM. More information about the member positions and host site information can be found at www.NewMexiCorps.org.
