PCRG Capacity VISTA

PCRG works at the intersection of policy, research, and advocacy. We advocate for the needs of grassroots organizations with local financial institutions, government agencies, and businesses. As an intermediary nonprofit, we offer resources and services to our coalition members to build their capacity to engage in community development projects and deliver access to capital for under-resourced communities while increasing residents’ quality of life. Our VISTA program builds organizational capacity to cultivate community leaders for a more prosperous, sustainable, and equitable region. The program has been successful in advancing the careers of VISTA members, who are given opportunities for professional development through classes, conferences, etc. About 70% of VISTAs have gone on to positions at community non-profits, while the other 30% have pursued higher education, often supported by the end-of-service education award.
