BMC EASE Clinic Program Development VISTA

The EASE Clinic is embedded within the Pediatric Primary Care Clinic with the aim of supporting parents and pediatric providers regarding the special education needs of children with concerns or diagnoses for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID) and Learning Disability (LD). EASE Clinic was founded in August 2017, and to this date, has seen over 500 children, over 100 families. An integral part of the clinic is supporting the family's quest to understand the needs of their children and navigate the special education process. Through talks one-on-one consults, EASE Clinic supports primary care providers in understanding the special education process to disseminate knowledge and improve pediatric patient care. The clinic co-leads are bi-cultural and bi-lingual (Haitian Creole and Spanish).
