Camp Shield Grant Coordinator VISTA (Year 2)
 
 
 
Camp Shield’s mission is collaborating to empower Women Veterans – emotionally, socially and physically – to ensure SHE thrives After Military Service. Our vision is to reduce the risk of Woman Veteran homelessness and suicide by providing a secure and comfortable healing environment for the Veteran and their children to heal and grow. To achieve this vision, Camp Shield provides a series of SHE THRIVES workshops, mastermind book clubs, peer-to-peer support groups, retreats, financial assistance and resource referral services. This will include a transitional housing program in the future.

Member Duties : To build and enhance the grant management capacity of Camp SHiEld by improving the grant-seeking process, establishing robust grant management infrastructure, and coordinating grant research and applications. The Grant Coordinator VISTA will support and collaborate closely with the Development VISTA, as well as inform and collaborate with grant writing volunteers, to secure sustainable funding for the organization, thereby supporting its mission to empower women veterans. Objectives include: - Assist with Grant Research and Identification - Coordinate and Improve the Grant-Seeking Process - Set Up Grant Management Infrastructure - Build Capacity for Long-Term Grant Success
