NAMI Sheridan Wyoming is a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, dedicated to providing support, education, and advocacy for individuals affected by mental illness. They offer a variety of resources, including peer-led support groups and educational programs, to help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges. Through community outreach and collaboration, NAMI Sheridan Wyoming aims to reduce stigma and promote mental wellness across the region.

Member Duties : As a NAMI VISTA member, you will start by completing training and attending community meetings to get a solid understanding of our mission and the communities we serve. You’ll be entrusted with enhancing our volunteer management systems—revamping recruitment strategies, creating tracking systems, and developing protocols that will ensure volunteers remain active and engaged with NAMI’s cause. You’ll also play a key role in strengthening NAMI’s community partnerships and enhancing our marketing and outreach efforts. By developing systems for expanding and tracking partner engagement, you’ll help ensure these relationships remain strong and sustainable, allowing NAMI to continue making a difference.
