Prevention Corps

Prevention Corps, a program of CatalystCT, aims to decrease opioid overdoses and increase the number of people in treatment through coordination of substance prevention training for communities across the state of Connecticut. According to the State Medical Examiner, 1,531 overdose deaths occurred in Connecticut in 2021. Of those deaths, 93% were opioid-related. Prevention Corps members will engage community members, health professionals, and other key stakeholders in their efforts while gaining a robust understanding of addiction prevention and early intervention strategies.
