Farm Crew Member
 
 
 
Reno Food Systems Americorps Crew Member will be on-site at Park Farm (3295 Mayberry Drive, Reno, Nevada 89509). All crew members will serve under the supervision and tutelage of the Farm Manager and/or other Reno Food Systems staff. Crew Members will be trained in food safety protocol, farm equipment, and animal safety practices. This person’s responsibilities will include general plant care and maintenance, planting of seedlings and ground preparation, produce washing and packing, as well as the care of animals on the farm. Crew members will also engage with community visitors, youth visitors, and school groups.

Member Duties : Primary Responsibilities: Land preparation and maintenance; Seeding, transplanting, weeding, and harvesting; General plant care and maintenance; Engagement with community visitors(tours, provide information, etc.); Engagement with youth and school group visitors; Produce washing and packing; Farm animal care; Basic construction; Helping with events; Other miscellaneous activities.
