Community Outreach Coordinator
 
 
 
The Community Outreach Coordinator, an AmeriCorps member, will be an essential member of the team for this non-profit organization. The Americorps member will help Lahontan Audubon Society achieve its mission to preserve and improve the remaining habitat of birds and other wildlife, restore historical habitat, and educate people, especially children, about birds in our unique Nevada environments. The Community Outreach Coordinator will implement youth education, community programming, volunteer coordination, and data collection and reporting.

Member Duties : Primary Responsibilities: ¿ Implement LAS Programming(youth and community); ¿ Help Coordinate and train volunteers to assist with programs; ¿ Help develop and form connections between students and the natural world; ¿ Inspire students to become stewards of the environment; ¿ Lead outdoor field trips and programs; ¿ Develop and maintain partnerships with school administrators and teachers; Secondary Responsibilities: ¿ Assist with website content updates; ¿ Assist with review of monthly memberships; ¿ Coordinate with Executive Director to identify funding needs for program implementation;
