The VISTA Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and securing grants that align with the mission and strategic goals of United Way. This role involves identifying funding opportunities, developing compelling proposals, managing the grant application process, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

Member Duties : Research and Identify Funding Opportunities: Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations and other funding sources. Maintain an organized database of funding opportunities, application deadlines, and submission requirements. Develop and Write Grant Proposals: Write clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals tailored to the specific requirements and priorities of each funding source. Collaborate with program staff to gather information, data, and supporting materials needed for proposals. Manage Grant Applications: Create and maintain a grant calendar to track application deadlines, submission dates, and reporting requirements. Ensure timely submission of all grant applications and necessary follow-up with funding agencies. Grant Compliance and Reporting: Monitor and ensure compliance with all grant terms and conditions. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to funders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
