Alexandria Mentoring Partnership-Program Outreach & Support

A goal of AMP is to promote and showcase mentoring and mentor affiliated programs within Alexandria and its surrounding areas and to ensure quality mentoring for all of Alexandria's youth. AMP recruits volunteer adult mentors to serve children, teens, and young adults, works to ensure best practices in mentoring, supports the establishment of new mentoring programs, provides training to program staff and volunteer mentors, and supports member organizations in maximizing mentor recruitment, screening, and training. Many entities are involved with AMP, including local government, religious and nonprofit organizations, Alexandria City Public Schools, foundations, businesses, local elected leadership, and individual community members.
