Alexandria Mentoring Partnership (Communications & Outreach)
 
 
 
This dynamic position offers a transformative opportunity to spearhead essential services within the Alexandria Mentoring Partnership (AMP) through enhancing mentor recruitment, relationship, and referral management. AMP is a city-based youth serving organization focused on ensuring every that that needs a mentor has one. The program outreach and support VISTA will play a critical role in advancing this goal through its direct service initiatives with current and developing mentoring programs, ensuring youth and families have positive support and access to resources to meet their needs. In addition to core responsibilities within AMP, the program outreach and support VISTA will play a vital role in the development and execution of mentoring program marketing and communications strategy. The VISTA member will play a critical role in providing support to youth and families from underserved areas of the Alexandria community. By connecting youth from low-income families to mentoring, the VISTA member will increase access to networks, education, and resources that enable economic mobility in an effort to alleviate poverty.

Member Duties : The Communications and Outreach VISTA will play a critical role in advancing Alexandria Mentoring Partnership's (AMP)goals by improving mentor recruitment and relationships for referral services. The VISTA member will play a critical role in providing support to youth and families from underserved areas of the Alexandria community. By connecting youth from low-income families to mentoring, the VISTA member will increase access to networks, education, and resources that enable economic mobility in an effort to alleviate poverty.The program outreach and support VISTA will play a strategic role in the development and supervision of a new partner program, Building Your Power (BYP).
