E3.24 Community Capacity Builder for Accessibility VISTA
 
 
 
Lighthouse Center for Vital Living (LCFVL) is committed to helping individuals of all ages in northern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin who face challenges related to disability or aging. LCFVL provides a range of services, including specialized training and occupational therapy, to empower those LCFVL serves to lead confident, independent, and fulfilling lives. By leveraging the power of technology, LCFVL also helps people build the skills and tools they need to overcome obstacles, seize opportunities, and actively engage in their communities. LCFVL believes in the dignity of all human lives, and embraces and promotes the values of respectfulness, compassion, responsibility, diversity, and accountability. This position will build capacity around multiple systems to further the impact of LCFVL's work and long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will be part of the Ecolibrium3 (Eco3) VISTA Corps. The Eco3 VISTA Corps focuses on addressing poverty holistically from various angles such as food access and systems, government policy, community development, education, health equity, creative place making, climate adaptation, energy justice and more. Eco3 VISTA members work with organizations that are deeply embedded in community to help develop equitable, resilient and sustainable solutions to community challenges through leveraging resources, building partnerships, expanding reach and improving organizational efficiency. Although each member is serving in a unique position, all cohort members will participate in VISTA specific activities such as regular cohort meetings, collaborative projects, professional development opportunities, and trainings.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps member will deepen capacity through building and implementing systems including 1) expanding PR, outreach, and fundraising capacities, 2) developing and maintaining CRM, communications materials, presentations, 3) tracking events, surveys, and volunteers, 4) expanding program fundraising and grantwriting systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness, 5) develop deeper experience in addressing community challenges faced by those experiencing disabilities or challenges due to aging.
