The Outdoor Circle - Communications & Outreach VISTA
 
 
 
The Outdoor Circle is dedicated to advocating for thoughtful planning and principled advocacy that protects our environment, beautifying the islands by planting and maintaining trees and landscaping in public spaces, protecting our scenic and natural resources, and educating the next generation to be good environmental stewards, all of which have had a positive impact on the livability and sustainability of our communities across our Island State. The Outdoor Circle works to alleviate poverty and support local food production through an innovative project supporting organic hydroponic food production and capacity building in a local women’s prison. This project also focuses on giving life and career skills to prisoners who are about to be released back into society. The Outdoor Circle also maintains a liaison with and provides scholarships in agricultural and environmental sciences at a local Community College.

Member Duties : This is a full-time position that will support The Outdoor Circle through communications, partner and community engagement, and outreach on local sustainability goals. The VISTA will build long-term capacity for partner communications, community engagement and outreach, and new organizational systems to amplify impact, and develop legacy resources to facilitate the on-going activities of TOC.
