PAARI Oswego Police Department VISTA

The Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI) was founded alongside the Gloucester Police Department Angel Initiative in June 2015 and has grown into a movement of approximately 700 law enforcement partners in 46 states all implementing a non arrest pathway to treatment and access. Members of our National Recovery Corps will strengthen the ability of partnering law enforcement agencies to increase access to care and address addiction and poverty through non-arrest approaches. VISTAs will help build, strengthen, and sustain police-led programs to reduce and prevent overdose deaths and help more people with opioid use disorder get into treatment and recovery. Individuals with lived experience with addictions, including those who are personally in recovery, are encouraged to apply. During your service, you will receive a living allowance from CNCS and at the conclusion of a successful service year you will be eligible for an education award of 7,395 or a cash stipend of $1,800 *If interested in starting on a different start date please let us know*
