Sunrise Homeless Center Strategic Partnerships VISTA Year 1
 
 
 
The City of Austin AmeriCorps VISTA Program works with City departments and local nonprofits to build capacity, in order to provide resources and services to the Austin neighborhoods and communities that may otherwise be left behind by Austin's historic disparities and future growth. The AmeriCorps members serving with the City of Austin AmeriCorps VISTA Program work in such diverse fields as education, health, waste reduction, and housing to cover the myriad ways poverty affects these neighborhoods and communities.

Member Duties : The Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center (SHNC) Strategic Partnerships Specialist VISTA will identify and build key partnerships to help Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center bring solutions to the area of family homelessness. They will map and document the inflow of Austin residents into homelessness through quantitative and qualitative data. And they will create and maintain quality referral guides for Sunrise staff and partner staff working with families.
