The Early Childhood Teacher Corps was developed to improve school readiness outcomes for young children from economically disadvantaged households by increasing accessibility to high quality teacher-child interactions that focus on language, literacy, and math skills. It is the goal of our organization to create equitable learning environments by expanding access to high-quality early learning programs to our most vulnerable population. The Early Childhood Teacher Corps (ECTC) AmeriCorps full-time lead member will serve as team lead for the program.The Lead Member must currently have a CDA certification. The ECTC Lead Member supports members with curriculum that focuses on targeted literacy, language, and math activities for children ages 0-4 enrolled in the early childhood programs. The Lead Member will also support implementation of the program curriculum activities to AmeriCorps team members providing information, resources, and best practices. The ECTC Lead Member will be working with members that are seeking to learn skills applicable to Early Childcare, getting the most out of serving their community and supporting learning environments for children to thrive in. As such, the Lead Member will work with members to build their capacity in areas such as: TS gold implementation, CLASS, classroom routines and best practices and leadership development.

Member Duties : - Assist members with planning and implementing TS Gold activities in Literacy, Language, and Math. - Provide a monthly schedule of age-appropriate activities to support children's learning objectives. - Attend weekly training sessions and deliver learning reinforcement activities. - Facilitate team-building activities during training sessions. - Participate in AmeriCorps training, service projects, member orientation, and other activities. - Effectively communicate important information such as schedules, feedback, plans, and updates. - Work closely with 4PXP staff. - Typical service hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm, with occasional evening hours. - Serve at multiple sites during the service term (mileage reimbursed between sites). - Perform other duties as assigned that do not conflict with primary responsibilities or AmeriCorps provisions, including prohibited activities.
