ICAST Grant Researcher VISTA
 
 
 
ICAST (International Center for Appropriate and Sustainable Technology) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social enterprise with a history of designing and launching programs to meaningfully impact communities and provide sustainable resource solutions. We are located in Denver, Colorado, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and provide VISTAs with a $600 per month stipend that can be used for food, housing or transportation. The Grant Researcher VISTA will work directly with the Business Development department to identify and research grant opportunities at the local, state, and federal levels, as well as from foundations. This role involves developing a database of prospects, assisting with grant applications, and supporting the overall fundraising efforts of the organization. We are looking for individuals who have the following: • Associate Degree (or equivalent experience); Bachelor’s degree preferred • Solid communication skills (both oral and writing) • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and communicate effectively • Strong work ethic • Flexibility and dependability • Ability to work independently on tasks to complete projects • Ability to prioritize and track work, tasks, activities, and events • Strong organizational skills • Basic proficiency in a software suite (preferably Microsoft Office) • Experience with research and data collection

Member Duties : The Grant Researcher VISTA will enhance ICAST’s ability to secure funding through comprehensive research of grant opportunities. This role will significantly contribute to ICAST's mission of delivering sustainable resource solutions to low-to-moderate income (LMI) communities by identifying new funding sources and supporting the preparation of successful grant applications.
