Service Description: • General Service Schedule M-F flexible hours between 8am and 5pm • Complete projects focused on visitor access enhancements, habitat restoration, invasive species removal, and infrastructure improvements. • Perform manual labor to assist in the advancement of sustainable trail remediation and improvement projects • Work as a team with other crew members to complete assigned projects. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be a U.S. Citizen, • High school diploma or equivalent • At least 18 years of age • Ability to pass criminal background check. • Experience with and a passion for working outdoors in nature • Ability to do physically strenuous field work in rugged terrain, including the ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds and hike up to 5 miles • May be exposed to dirt, fumes, dust & outdoor elements (e.g. animals, insects, poison ivy) • Must have a reliable personal vehicle for transportation of self, tools, and supplies to field sites. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous trail maintenance, earthwork or construction experience • Camping or outdoor experience Member/Program Benefits: • Living Stipend of up to $6,525 • Post service education award of up to $1,956.35 • Training on trail building and remediation, Invasive Species Management, CPR/First Aid, safety, chainsaw training, pesticide application, job skills (e.g., interviewing, resume preparation), and more. • Mileage reimbursement (as applicable) *Camping and/or other accommodations may or may not be provided on-site at an ODNR property.

Member Duties : Members will engage in conservation and recreation projects throughout Casar Creek State Park. Duties will include manual labor, light carpentry, invasive species management, trail remediation, Grounds and infrastructure improvement projects.
