As a VISTA, you will spend time supporting Sulzbacher’s housing programs and the Sulzbacher Village Food Pantry. You will lead efforts to expand the current network of housing providers willing to work with Sulzbacher’s housing programs by educating, promoting, and engaging community partners to maintain positive relations and recruit new housing options for program participants, facilitating a more rapid entry into housing, reduced time spent in shelter or unsheltered literal homelessness, and reduced housing search time. You will improve efficiency and fidelity in outreach and data entry and quality measures within the housing programs and will work closely with leadership to plan and pilot and train staff in enhanced measures in each of the previously mentioned areas. You will lead efforts to develop the food pantry program at Sulzbacher Village through program design, volunteer recruitment and training, and continuous quality improvement. you will plan and pilot the food pantry program including: food procurement and stocking processes, volunteer recruitment, training, and scheduling, creation of SOP for the program, data collection and reporting on program utilization and individuals served, and will ultimately train Sulzbacher staff to administer the program. You will assist with planning and executing events where you represent the food pantry and/or housing programs.
