The Boys & Girls Club's focus is on enhancing academic success in a fun and engaging manner. This AmeriCorps Program is focused on education- number of students with a positive change in skills, attitudes, and mindset that is likely to contribute to increased educational success. The AmeriCorps Members assist with the programming in a support role and provide supportive relationships through quality interactions based on positive youth development strategies. The Club employs research-based academic and prevention programming to serve at-risk low-income students. Through grant funding, the Club offers robust educational and social emotional programing. Use of evidence-based positive youth development program quality strategies to empower youth toward positive outcomes.

Member Duties : AmeriCorps Member Key Roles include: Assisting with the programming in a support role and provide supportive relationships through quality interactions based on positive youth development strategies. Works with youth and makes a meaningful impact through supportive relationships. Duties include but are not limited to: promoting and stimulating participation, leading small group activities, providing guidance and role modeling to Club members, assisting in ensuring Club and child safety, and helping maintain quality programs and good appearance of the Club at all times.
