TeamMates Mentor Recruiter and Marketing VISTA
 
 
 
There is an on-going need for mentors in the state of Iowa to serve students. The goal of TeamMates is to provide a caring adult friend to students who serves as their school-based mentor from 3-12 grade and beyond. The primary goal is to help students reach their full potential and support them through high school graduation. TeamMates aligns with the Elements of Effective Practice and fully supports diversity, equity, and inclusion in all forms within our program. This position is responsible for the overall recruitment and marketing of the TeamMates Mentoring Program in Iowa. The VISTA member will engage community stakeholders, recruit mentors, and market the TeamMates Program. The VISTA member will communicate effectively with the TeamMates Iowa Regional Coordinator and the TeamMates Regional Manager. This position will also be responsible for working with each individual TeamMates chapter and assess their recruitment and marketing needs. The VISTA will spend time in each community in order to better serve each chapter.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will use their dynamic communication skills to recruit adult mentors for the TeamMates chapters in Iowa. They will work collaboratively with the TeamMates Iowa Regional Coordinator to build a strong culture of mentoring within the Iowa TeamMates service area. The VISTA will use strategic thinking and planning skills to systematically engage community stakeholders and build strong partnerships with civic organizations and corporations across the state. In addition, the VISTA member will work collaboratively with each TeamMates chapter to assist in marketing efforts. The ideal candidate must live in western Iowa. This position is hybrid which means that part-time you will serve in person in western Iowa communities; and the other part of the time you will be able to serve virtually.
