Martha O’Bryan Center is an anti-poverty non-profit organization located in East Nashville. With longstanding history and deep community roots, Martha O’Bryan Center (MOBC) operates programs supporting education goals for learners of all ages, empowers youth and adults in their careers, and provides stability and support services for families. Hours: 9 am – 5 pm AmeriCorps members at MOBC get an additional $500/month for a housing allowance! Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support community members and clients in their search for employment opportunities Facilitate workshops and programs related to employment, including but not limited to interview skills training, soft skills training, financial literacy, and resume building and creation Develop media related to financial literacy, utilizing the Money Mindset curriculum Document client interactions and outreach efforts in Microsoft Suite and Salesforce database Assist employment services staff in outreach to potential employers in Middle Tennessee Collaborate with both Adult Education and Employment teams to promote educational advancement and economic mobility Provide one-on-one support for digital literacy, including internet navigation, email creation and communication, and general computer skills Participate in AmeriCorps professional development and community-building workshops You can read more about AmeriCorps at MOBC here: https://mobcamericorps.weebly.com/
