Goodwill PHA - Foodscapes Garden Project Coordinator

Join Maine Foodscapes in our mission to combat food insecurity and promote community well-being in southern Maine. As a part of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing free gardens, gardening instruction, and nutritious food to low-income families and individuals. Together, we create a supportive community where everyone has access to healthy produce and valuable gardening skills. Not only will you be making a difference on a local level, but you'll also contribute to a larger network of organizations dedicated to fighting hunger and poverty in our region. Through partnerships and collaboration, we leverage additional resources to maximize our impact and address the root causes of food insecurity. Moreover, by embracing organic vegetable gardening, our Free Garden Project promotes sustainable agriculture, reduces food transportation costs, and enhances the local environment. Join us in creating positive change while fostering a healthier, more sustainable future for all. If you're passionate about public health and community service, consider joining the Public Health AmeriCorps program with Goodwill. As a PHA member, you'll have the opportunity to address CDC-determined public health needs for underserved populations, with a focus on supporting youth impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences. You'll work closely with community organizations and schools to develop and implement evidence-based interventions, directly serving youth while building organizational capacity. Throughout your service, you'll receive valuable experience and training, preparing you for a rewarding career in public health and youth development. Join us in making a difference and empowering communities to thrive. Apply now and be part of something meaningful!
