24-25 Volunteer Resource Capacity VISTA - Atlanta, GA

Catholic Charities Atlanta Refugee Resettlement provides programs that include case management, financial coaching, English language instruction, and employment instruction. Volunteers and in-kind support are critical to the efforts of these programs and allow CCA to reach more people in need. The Volunteer Resources division directs all activities related to volunteers, including the recruiting, vetting, onboarding, and management of volunteers spread across the program areas. Volunteer Resources works closely with all programs to best assess their volunteer needs, creating new and meaningful opportunities. In addition, Volunteer Resources helps provide in-kind donations for clients. These are items such as hygiene kits, school supplies, Christmas gifts, food baskets, furniture and household items. The team identifies and builds partnerships with schools, parishes, donors and community partners to not only spread awareness of CCA, but to secure these much needed items. Tracking the donations coming in and going out are critical for our funders and to show our impact and support in the community. This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA’s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.
