Cleveland County CDC Communications VISTA

Cleveland County Community Development Corporation was founded in 1991 by several local citizens who recognized the need for low and moderately priced housing in Cleveland County. The Board of Directors is composed of a cross section of races, ages, and socio-economic backgrounds. Having a very specific strategy and persistence, they responded to the need and met the challenge of offering affordable housing options in our community. Cleveland County CDC is a HUD certified housing counseling agency committed to building communities through partnerships that empower people to become self-sufficient in the areas of housing, jobs, and financial education. Self-sufficiency contributes to economic development and helps build assets for low and moderate wealth individuals and families. In the last three years as a result of COVID-19, CCCDC has expanded its service area to provide housing counseling programs and services to surrounding communities. However, the recent expansion of Cleveland County CDC’s services to new areas has resulted in a need for increased visibility and marketing through social media platforms. The goal of this project is to build awareness and support through various social media platforms to serve surrounding communities as effectively as possible. The VISTA position will help CCCDC expand the scale and reach of CCCDC’s online impact, by improving and operating its social media, creating a digital messaging toolkit, and expanding CCCDC’s existing online presence. The Vista position will collaborate with CCCDC staff, board members, and affordable housing stakeholders to promote awareness and establish and maintain a consistent online presence. They will also update and operate CCCDC’s website to promote accessibility, interactivity, and aesthetic appeal so that CCCDC will create a strong first impression online and can utilize the website as a one-stop resource for those interested in our programs and services.
