24-25 CCCS - Housing Counseling Corps - Marketing
 
 
 
The Marketing and Housing Counseling VISTA will serve with Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Savannah Area (CCCS) in Savannah, GA from August 2024-2025. CCCS is part of the Housing Counseling Corps initiative of Housing Action Corps, an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. Housing Counseling Corps members receive custom training, support, networking, and post-service employment opportunities in the housing counseling field, in addition to the traditional benefits of AmeriCorps VISTA. CCCS is a leader in providing financial wellness programming, and the only accredited, HUD-approved credit counseling agency in Savannah that offers financial education workshops. We believe that financial education and counseling are the cornerstone of a better financial future. The Marketing and Housing Counseling VISTA will enhance the presence of the agency and the services offered by assessing and creating branding and marketing techniques, researching and enhancing current financial education curriculum, and providing unique housing counseling services. The VISTA will also gain a comprehensive understanding of housing counseling and train to complete the HUD certification exam for housing counselors. Our ideal candidate has experience in graphic design, social media, and marketing. They should demonstrate strong communication skills and critical thinking, as well as the ability to initiative on projects. They must be empathetic to people of all walks of life and have an understanding of systemic poverty. This position offers a $300 monthly stipend.

Member Duties : CCCS’ programs provide concrete solutions for financial management, homeownership, credit and wealth building, and achieving life goals, but not enough families in the Savannah area know about our services. The Marketing and Housing Counseling VISTA will expand the reach of our services by enhancing our financial education curriculum and marketing strategies. The VISTA will collaborate with CCCS’s housing counselors to create new financial and housing education materials, as well as assist our marketing team with marketing and rebranding. They will study for and take the HUD housing counseling certification exam to become a HUD-certified housing counselor. After certification, they will pilot housing counseling services and coordinate education workshops.
