EngageCorps VISTA at Middlesex County College

Our food pantry and Resource Hub was created in 2018 to address the issue of food insecurity facing our students and provide food, personal hygiene items, and cleaning products at no cost. In 2020 we expanded services that address a broader range of basic needs insecurity, such as those related to housing, healthcare, transportation, childcare, technology, WIFI access, etc. We are dedicated to connecting our students with community resources that will improve their health, wellness, and security. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Encourage students to develop a strong commitment to civic engagement, advocacy, and civil discourse through civic literacy and education. 2) Foster a campus culture of volunteerism and community service. 3) Promote the value of service to the community as well as the career-goal clarity of our students. 3) Develop well-informed and engaged global citizens who are actively involved in the social, economic, and sustainability issues facing their communities, and who speak their values through becoming informed and engaged voters.
