VISTA DPS Foundation Program Coordinator
 
 
 
The Durham Public Schools Foundation's (DPSF) mission is to catalyze big ideas and foster community engagement that will accelerate transformation of the Durham Public Schools (DPS) to ensure success and equity for every student. When the whole community brings its talents and resources behind the 33,000+ students in DPS schools, Durham will have innovative and equitable public schools where every student can flourish. The VISTA project will build capacity and break the cycle of poverty by targeting and promoting strategies to bolster success for students of color and those of low income. The VISTA member will coordinate various logistics, communication, and evaluation of key Foundation programming.

Member Duties : The VISTA Program Coordinator will work directly with the Program Manager and is expected to work in the office/in the field 2-3 times a week to evaluate the 2023-2024 Grant cycle. While evaluating our '22-'23 grants cycle, the member will evaluate data from sessions, meetings, project reports, and surveys, communicate with grantees to collect necessary reporting and assets, and develop an evaluation tool for grant project leads to complete. The member will also create and maintain a public-facing calendar of events and registrations, create a work plan for Foundation events and facilitate meetings to ensure teammates are completing tasks, generate Foundation event budgets with the Program Manager, and assess individual Foundation events to determine the need for volunteers.
