PHENND Fellows-Community Outreach Coordinator

At the Workshop School, our mission is to graduate students who value learning and growth, build community, and know how to shape their lives and our world. Founded in 2012, the Workshop is one of the most dynamic and innovative high schools in the country. The school’s project-based curriculum, focus on real-world skills and experience, steadfast commitment to serving historically marginalized students and communities, and creative and diverse faculty set us apart. Workshop students take on a huge range of issues and projects, from disrupting the school to prison pipeline to designing escape rooms. Our Makerspace gives students access to a wide range of tools and technologies to create and invent, whether that means 3D printing a model or testing a new soup recipe! We are a small school that places a premium on community and relationship building. We value and honor the gifts and talents of everyone in our community, students and staff alike. We believe that we are all at our best when we are doing work that’s meaningful, building skills we can use, with people who know, trust and support us.
