Branches AmeriCorps Member - Quarter Time (450 Hours)
 
 
 
AmeriCorps Lead Members are individuals who serve in an approved national service position and are eligible, upon completion of service hours, to receive an educational award from the National Service Trust. AmeriCorps members bring a unique passion and commitment to service and to transforming lives of people and communities. At Branches, in partnership with Volunteer Florida, Inc., members serve in Grow & Climb and deliver learning and enrichment opportunities that accelerate academic recovery and potential; support social, emotional, and spiritual resilience; and advance post-secondary readiness and success to K-12 students in afterschool and summer settings.

Member Duties : Members will engage low-income children, youth, and families to help improve academic performance through the planning, developing, and leading of educational sessions. Providing mentoring, tutoring and homework assistance will also be a part of service. Members will also recruit and support long-term volunteers to strengthen their services sites.
