Member Duties : Provide peer mentoring including: referrals for Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs services, referrals to area military service related organizations, referrals for community/civic services, provide assistance with campus services/activities, provide a safe and welcoming space for veteran students to promote a sense of community and inclusion on campus, promote suicide prevention among veteran students thru ongoing outreach and community engagement, provide opportunities for veteran students to engage in community service projects that will positively impact the veteran student community, serve as a direct point of contact for faculty/staff with the veteran student community on campus thru outreach and training, promote a military friendly atmosphere on campus by positively engaging the campus and surrounding community in veteran student activities on campus.
